Identification

Donor provides identification and information is recorded.

Consent

Donor reads consent information and signature is provided if agreeable.

Sample

Donor collects sample in view of Accredited Technician

Adequacy Indication

Adequacy indicator when sufficient oral fluid has been collected.

Analysis

Oral fluid sample is inserted into drug detection device where it is mixed with a buffer solution (if required) and then run for a set time.

Onsite Results

Results are recorded in permanent record system as per AS/NZS 4760:2019.

If Required

Should the onsite result be not-negative, additional samples are collected and additional paperwork completed for transport to laboratory.
